From their size (3"-4")it's obvious that they've been around for awhile, but where have they been hiding? Were they underground during the dry season, and now that it's rainy season, they are emerging?

The Valley of Slugs
We had a huge rain today from 5-6 p.m. After it finished, the kids discovered a whole bunch of slugs behind a house on our compound. Tobi was grossed out, but David and Lily really enjoyed them. Sometimes we'll find just one on the sidewalk, but we've never seen so many at once. There were easily 60 that we could see.
